Bermuda - Sun..Sand..Surf..Scootay!
Palm trees, crtystal waters, island life, hello bermuda!!! It's been quite a journey already getting here but something tells me it's all going to be worth it.
I finally understand the meaning of, "The world is your oyster". You know what, I think it is.
People here are most friendliest I have ever met. It must be the whole laid back Island sun, sea, beach mentality.
Note to self: We could spend some serious time here in the future!

Looking out the window on the flight from New York to Bermuda.

Soaring above the clouds on another flight.

Another long tiring day comes to a close. Need sleep.

The next day outside our hotel, the Grape Bay beach resort.

Grape Bay beach resort: A beautiful sunny ocean view from our hotel room overlooking the restaurant.

Grape Bay beach resort: View from our room overlooking the sea.

Grape Bay beach resort: View from our room overlooking neighbouring houses.

Lunch at Chopsticks. Yum.

Inside Chopsticks.

After a delicious lunch we treat ourselves to some fried ice cream dessert, Bangkok style. Yum.

With medium format film for the holga camera in hand, it's time for some arty shots.

A walk in the surrounding areas leads us to lush tropical greenery.

A low rider on a street corner in Bermuda.

At the ferry terminal by the waterfront in the town of Hamilton in Bermuda.

Enjoying the sunshine by the sea.

Deciding what to do next, when really we're quite happy doing nothing.

Walking back to our hotel with a view overlooking the harbour.

Sun shining through the clouds.

Us in the leafy burbs.

Admiring a local house with pristine gardens.

What an amazing day! Sun shining down on the turquoise water. Breathtaking.

Megan under a palm tree where we've stopped for lunch.

Lunch consisted of fried chicken and deep fried wedges, hmm but which is which?

Me on the scooter enjoying the amazing views between the palm trees. Doesn't get much better than this.

Megan basks in the sunlight of a brilliant view.
Video of our lunch stop. Has to be seen to be believed.

Us at the chicken pit stop.

Another shot of a typical beach in Bermuda.

Me overlooking the ocean on my bike.

Megan the biker chick.

Bad to the bone.

Clearly a force to be reckon with in our mean-ass helmets.

A posh resort on our travels.

A little oasis in the crystal blue ocean.

A visit to the royal naval dockyard, tip of the bermuda triangle apparently.

Is it the Caribbean, is it American, no actually Bermuda is British! God save Bermuda!

On yer bike as the Aussies would say.

Our little red beast. Oh how we miss you.

Me, myself and Megan cruising Bermuda.
Megan films our ride to the beach from behind me on the bike.

Ah, the entrance to Horseshoe Bay, "one of the world's best beaches". That's a quote.

Us under a palm tree silhouette.
Taking a leisurely stroll on horseshoe bay beach.

Horseshoe Bay: Now this is an ocean view.
Horseshoe Bay: Bermuda surf.

Horseshoe Bay: Me and Meg, a couple of beach bums.

Horseshoe Bay: My Bermuda wrist band made from a special material by native Americans that had to be wet to fit your wrist perfectly and they believed that when it breaks, your destiny will be revealed. It broke shortly after. Needless to say, my travels continue.

Horseshoe Bay: How rosemantic.

Horseshoe Bay: Famous pink sand of Bermuda formed by the eroded bodies of single-celled animals with red skeletons called forams that are washed onto shore when dead. Blink and you'll miss it.

Dinner at the Pickled Onion bar and restaurant on the waterfront in the town of Hamilton for Megan's (much belated) birthday dinner.

Megan at dinner.

Bermuda dollars of British influence, also transferrable for US dollars.

Me and Megan before going out for dinner at the hotel restaurant Sapori.

Me at dinner in Sapori before indulging in a delicious pizza.

The sapori restaurant at Grape Bay beach resort at night with the pool in the foreground.

A wrong turn on the bike led us to this little oasis.

Aren't we tanned?

Palm trees aplenty.

So this is how the rich live.

Random house with a million dollar view.

"Highway to the danger zone...Gonna take you right into the danger zone..."

Don't the colours of the water bring out the colours of my eyes?
Pulled over on the side of the road for a light lunch, Bermuda style.

Me and Meg and all the shades of blue.

A cherry in your coke is standard issue here on the island. Very tropical.

Megan in the native islander bar where we wrote postcards to our families.

Beer with a view.

Our message in a bottle.

Us in the town of St George.

A man in his boat just picking up some food supplies before going home. That's the life.

A training camp for motorcross kids. Bermuda's got it all.

It's hotdogs on the beach at sunset.

The sun setting on another beautiful day.

Megan sauces up her hotdog.

Who needs rose tinted glasses when the views are this good.

Watching the sunset while stuffing our faces.

Me and Meg enjoy the beach sunset.

Our hotel swimming pool overlooking the ocean.
Free breakfasts in the morning sunshine overlooking the ocean.
The outside of our hotel before giving back the scooter.

We were at wit's end.

This is Bermuda security.

Just hanging on the cliffs of our private beach.

Me and Meg at the resort's private beach one afternoon.

Another bird's eye view.

Part of our hotel room with the afternoon sun shining in.

View of the sun penetrating through the clouds from our room.

A beautiful Bermuda sunset.

The extraordinary colours of the evening sky.

Bermuda from the skies.

Goodbye Bermuda.
