Vancouver Island - Tofino

A friend of Megans lives on Vancouver Island, in Tofino, and works at a holiday resort there. We wanted to go and see him, but easter weeekend in Tofino brings masses of tourists for the whale watching in it's very natural surroundings and we couldn't get a place to stay. We receive and email from 'poker guru' Adley and tells us we can stay with him in his cabin surrounded in forest on the site of the resort, and there's a poker game on friday night, just in time!!! What a guy!...needless to say we packed up that very night, booked our greyhound bus tickets and ferry tickets and headed off the very next morning, it's all go! Nice to get back to nature after being in the city, more water, waves, beaches, bbq's and poker! What more can you ask for?

--P.S. I won the poker tournament at Adleys with an 'All in' Call holding 6 8 offsuit against Ace ten offsuit I think!! 7 Players, $5 each, $35 for me, money towards the BBQ food!

Great start to our Tofino break, cheers Adley:) Wish I would have taken pics of that but didn't want to look like I was boasting infront of people I just met...it's all good.

Adley is one one the kindest, happiest, generous, self-less people I have ever met, and a good laugh, top guy, in-fact everyone I've met so far has been so friendly, it has to be the weather, sun=smiles.

Adleys room mate Karl is a surfer, getting up at 5 am to surf before work, and then a surf after work and back to the cabin to chill at night, he's got it sorted. What lives these guys lead...it's great to see!
